Getting to Meetings in Dumaguete, Valencia, Dauin, and Lipayo
The meetings are held in ordinary local places: a guest house balcony, a restaurant, and places near the beach. The main question is usually not what happens when you arrive. It is how to get there the first time.
Dumaguete City: Bethel Guest House is on Rizal Boulevard. Depending on where you are staying, you may be able to walk there. Otherwise, any local tricycle driver should know Bethel. Cafe Filomena is on the ground floor, and the meeting is on the fifth-floor balcony.
Valencia: Valencia is uphill from Dumaguete. You can take a tricycle directly, or take a multicab from the market area. Give yourself enough time so you are not trying to find Luna Street just as the meeting begins.
Dauin: Uzi Beach Resort is south of Dumaguete. Without your own transportation, this is usually a bus or multicab trip from the market area. The Dauin public market and the large church are useful landmarks before you continue toward the beach. Think about your return transportation before you go.
Lipayo: The Saturday meeting is farther south in Lipayo. Use Sierra Resort as the landmark. The meeting place is across from it. Give yourself extra time because finding the exact place may take a little longer on your first visit.
Once you know the route, none of these trips is complicated. Check the map, leave with enough time, and aim first for the landmark you recognize.
