Need help with drinking?
You don’t have to fix anything today.
You may already know why you are here. The argument may have been going on privately for a long time.
A first AA meeting does not require a decision about the rest of your life. It requires finding the room and staying for the meeting.
Check today’s meeting. Find the table. Sit down. Listen.

New to AA in Dumaguete
The first meeting begins before you enter the room.
People study the map, look online, walk past the venue, return to the website, and wait for a day when walking inside feels possible.
That is not unusual. Familiarity reduces part of the fear. You can arrive early, choose a chair anywhere, and listen until the room becomes familiar.
You do not owe anyone a prepared story. You do not need the right words.
