Dumaguete’s AA Convention Wrap-Up

Bohol picked as location of 2017 Philippines AA National Convention.

Last Saturday the main discussion at the convention business meeting was, "where is the location of next year's 2017 Philippines AA National Convention?"

Davao City was well represented and briefly it looked like Davao was going to be the pick, then Bohol volunteered to hold the convention followed by Cebu as a solid contender.

When all the raised hands were counted it was Bohol. Bohol is the location of the 2017 Philippines AA National Convention.  Congrats' Bohol!

214 members attended the AA Convention in Dumaguete City.

It was a beautiful weekend in Dumaguete City and many members commented "how friendly" the local Dumagueteños are, and for sure, there were many Filipinos represented at this year's AA Convention in Dumaguete City.

Here's how the attendance worked out: 125 members attended on Friday, 214 members attended on Saturday (90 of those attended Saturday only), and 60 members attended Sunday for breakfast. Total attendance for the entire event was 214 members. Thank you Dumaguete City.

Ozamiz City AA group visits Saturday morning Blue Monkey meeting.

Members from the Ozamiz City AA Group took a break from the convention, walked across the street, and found the Blue Monkey regular weekly meeting held every Saturday at 10:30am. 11:00am.

What a great meeting that was.

Sometimes meetings can become predictable, it's true, but Saturday's meeting was a genuine expression of "experience, strength, and hope".

Many of the Ozamiz members were new to the program, but everyone walked away trading telephone numbers and the happiness of finding new friends in the program.
